Why this opportunity exists

We’re looking for a Java/Scala Developer to work on creating technical articles.

Additional requirements (other than skills)

• You naturally need to be a developer working or actively involved in the Scala ecosystem. The articles will be code-centric, so being in the trenches and able to code is instrumental. • You need a solid command of the English language.

Language(s) required

English - fully-fluent About the organization(s)

• Baeldung is focused on the Java ecosystem, helping developers learn to implement better, more secure web applications with Spring.

Additional details

• Here are the typical budgets used by most authors: • Level 9 • 1250+ words - 85$ • 1500+ words - 90$ • Level 10 • 1250+ words - 90$ • 1500+ words - 95$ • 1750+ words - 100$ • Note that, from mid-June to October, due to COVID-19, we’re working with an adjusted budget of -10% to -15% for all articles. • Once you get started, we have a lot more budget levels (the top level is 22), based on the quality of your writeups. • In terms of time commitment, a good target is one article every 2-3 weeks - but that’s very flexible (as long as our communication is good). • We’ll usually pick articles out of the existing content calendar of the site (based on the areas you want to work in). You can also suggest your own topics as well (and get an additional compensation for that). • Here are a few examples of topics: • A Guide to Scala Tuples • Testing Scala with JUnit • Currying in Scala • Higher-order functions • And here’s a quick finished article example: https://www.baeldung.com/scala/pattern-matching • You can also find the contribution guidelines on our site: https://www.baeldung.com/contribution-guidelines
