Financial Services Processor


Position Summary: The Financial Services Processor position is a full-time employment opportunity. The Financial Services Processor analyzes students’ financial aid documentation to ensure accuracy/completeness, awards the appropriate funding to students, ensures the funding is disbursed accurately and/or ensures the student’s funding was appropriate when they withdraw/graduate. Essential Job Duties: Key Tasks

Review/Approve student documents based on standard operating procedures. Award funding to students based on standard operating procedures. Review disbursement eligibility. Calculate excess funding to be sent to a student. Calculate earned/unearned aid and request necessary refunds. All other duties as assigned.

Specialty Knowledge & Subject Area Expertise

Maintain a working knowledge of Federal, State and Institutional Policies governing Title IV student aid programs. Review the National Student Loan Database System (NSLDS) to determine current student eligibility. Review the Common Originations and Disbursement System (COD) to determine current student eligibility.

Minimum Requirements:

Excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of federal financial aid programs and regulations. Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. One (1) year of experience in an educational setting or finance background required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written. Strong interpersonal skills. Financial Aid experience is a plus.


High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred
